You're Pet Will Never Hate you for Euthanasia

Updated: Oct 13, 2020

Probably the number one type of case that I take on as an animal communicator is to speak with pet guardians who have been forced to make the difficult decision of euthanasia. There is always guilt surrounding these situations. The guardian always wants to know if their pet is mad at them or is okay. While we should do everything in our power to help our pets be healthy and happy, sometimes the quality of life just fails for all. Pets can live happily in their golden years but there are illnesses that just make comfort impossible.

I want to assure all my clients and followers that in all these cases I have never once spoken to a pet who is angry at their humans... here are some reasons why:

- When they come into our lives, they put their bodies and temporarily their soul's in our hands and they put that trust in us and accept our decisions.

- Even if we look back and feel we made the wrong decision, they always love and forgive us... unconditionally! Just like most do in life.

- Pets often have an awareness about their own passing and feel it coming. Often times they go through a sacred period of preparing.

- Animals are naturally more connected to the other side. Human's are more attached and cling to the physical bodies. Animals have an easier time letting go and see death as a transition and not the end.

- They are never far away, even on the other side and they gain awareness of our lives and often become guardians even after death.

- Pain surrounding death is temporary and when they cross they go back to the pure light version of their soul. In a way we are releasing them. The process of death can actually be quite beautiful (even though devastating) if we allow our animal friends their dignity regardless of what happens.

- They do not want us to carry or be crushed by guilt at all! They want for us to heal and remember the better times. To honor who they were.

Many pets tell me they would like funerals or memorials. They love when we honor them with words or special items. Some even tell me they wish for a living memorial before they pass. This gives them the permission to let go on their terms and also gives their humans a chance to come to terms with it as well. I will post another blog about this in time.

So please, when it comes time for your pet to cross, speak to a vet and consider all options, try everything you can but when it comes time to let them go, do not be afraid for their souls and do not feel guilty at all! You and your pet love each other unconditionally and they know that you know what is best for them and you would never hurt them.

I will post about my experiences with the afterlives of pets in the future.

Magic and Blessings,

Katie Rowland
